Identifying What Surfaces are Suitable for Our Decals

Wall decals require a smooth, clean and flat surface for that perfect adhere application. Applying wall decals to textured and porous surfaces such as brick, concrete or render etc is not recommended and please avoid applying wall decals above any fireplace.

We suggest avoiding walls that have been painted with Teflon based paints as it could reduce adhesion of the wall decals.

Wall Preparation

Needing to paint your surface before applying your decals? If so please make sure you prime your walls before applying your paint and remember avoid Teflon based paints. Once you have primed and painted your walls, you must wait 30 days for the paint to completely dry before applying any wall decals.

Before Applying Walls Decals

Please ensure that you clean the surface where you are applying the wall decals, this is going to make sure no dust or dirt is present allowing for proper adhesion.

It is recommended to use a soft cloth to remove dust and dirt before applying. Do not use any chemicals or cleaning products to clean walls before applying the decals. Avoid using water as this could take 5-10 days for your walls to completely dry.

Safety Reminder

Ensure you are placing wall decals out of kids reach as these can be very tempting to a child and will pose a choking risk if child removes them.
Please remember decals are not toys and ensure kids do not play with them. We recommend supervision with children and decals for that super safety.

Damages

While it is unfortunate please keep in mind that occasional damages could occur when using any wall decal. Damages can be easily rectified if the unfortunate did occur, Stick That Vinyl will not be held liable or cover damages that occurred during wall decal removal.

If your walls are painted with teflon based paints or washable paints, if your unsure what your walls are painted with or whether they were primed before paint was applied then we suggest applying Viponds Prep Coat before decal application for ultimate protection but this is optional.

When removing the decals off the wall please make sure that you remove slowly, do not rip them off the wall.

Please be aware that Stick That Vinyl will not be held liable for any issues that arise from incorrect wall preparation or the avoidance of wall preparation all together. We will not refund for any wall decals that do not stick correctly or is damage occurred due to improper wall preparation.
